At Tantra, we want to change people’s perceptions of Indian cuisine. Our food will provide a multisensory experience involving, appearance, texture, flavours, aroma, all of equal importance.

We aim to take traditional Indian cuisine into another dimension - by taking inspirations from renowned international cuisines and using modern techniques such as molecular gastronomy, deconstruction of dishes. We ensure that the soul of the food we serve will be authentic Indian in flavour - but the execution and presentation will be mystical and magical in every aspect, just like the name ‘Tantra’.

We derive inspiration from your concepts and ideas, builds them out into mood boards, designs complementing elements, and sees it right through to completion.

In keeping with the Indian concepts of minimalism, simplicity, and attention to detail, the dominant materials chosen for the interiors are black timber, glass and custom wallpapers.

Aluminium and mirrored effect zig zag bar feature stocked with varieties of whiskies, among other beverages that pair well with the delicate Indian dishes.

The first floor of the restaurant houses the timber decorated ceiling and unique mesh partition.

We sourced furniture that reflects the finesse of contemparary Indian design, with hints of Scandinavian influence - dark leather chairs, dark floors, grey fabrics and textured timbers.

FEATURE WALL - BESPOKE

The romantic corner wall is dominated by a bespoke installation, with Tantra fret-cut processed wood. The backlit feature casts sculpted shadows, adding interesting dimensions.

As one walks in to the restaurant, the flooring is embellished with charred dark wood, informed by the traditional Indian method of wood preservation.

The structure itself had a beautiful high ceiling on the ground floor which has been left exposed, and incorporated into the interiors. The design has embraced the modern architectural elements and combined it with Indian joinery to create a balance.
